Feeling Like an Idiot

Yesterday, I discovered two problems for school. First, I discovered that the sign up email for the next term that starts on March 9th went into my junk mail and therefore, I was closed out of all of the general education requirements that I needed to take. However, I did realize I had all of the pre-reqs for econometrics, so I will be taking that, even though I am supposed to finish all of my gen eds first. Second, I discovered the class I was taking this term and thought was a gen ed, was actually an elective course that doesn’t help me one bit.

Well, can you imagine how I felt when I discovered piece two about 5 minutes after piece one? I was in a total panic. I felt (and still do) feel like I let LD down. Taking an extra, unnecessary class is both expensive and takes up time that I could spend with him and the pups. LD, bless his soul, did tell me that it was an easy mistake that could have happened to anyone based on how they numbered and named that elective course, but I am not sure the fact that it is an easy mistake to make makes things any better. Thankfully, I should still be graduating at the same time I originally planned, but some terms might become a bit more crowded than was originally planned. I hope everything works out for the best.

The good thing is I have been excited to do econometrics. I am a big econ fan and it is one of the electives required for my business analytics concentration. So, luckily, I am not wasting time two terms in a row. I just want a term to go as planned. I have yet to have one that signing up worked correctly.

College can get hectic. I remember my kids during college. They took 23 hours, plus internship, and full time jobs. And before they knew it, college was over and life takes over the countless hours spent studying. Have a great semester. I’m sure you will do marvelously! All the best, Kimmie.

Wow, your business major requires econometrics? That is awesome. If you need some help with that let me know. I have every important econometrics book for economists in my library.
