Suggestions for a Wedding Registry

With several friends getting married, I realized that if I were to have to make a registry again tomorrow, there are certain kitchen items I would definitely put on there again and some that I would just pass on. Today, I am just focusing on kitchen items, but I might go into the little extras next time. If you aren’t a fan of cooking, this list is most likely too extensive, but for those of you who are interested in cooking or baking here is the list I would go with:

  • At least 12 place settings
  • Basic Glassware (wine glasses, tumblers, and rocks glasses)
  • Stainless Steel or other quality cookware
  • Breadmaker
  • Crockpot
  • Rice Cooker
  • Quality Knives (Wustof or J.A. Henckels)
  • Waffle Iron
  • Silicone Baking Mats
  • Food Processor
  • Easy to Clean Blender (Magic Bullet or Ninja suggested)
  • Kitchenaid Mixer
  • Good Pizza Stone
  • Baking Sheets
  • Glass storage containers
  • Airtight storage such as oxo containers
  • Cooking Utensils
  • Pasta Roller
  • Water Bath Canner Set
  • Toaster or Toaster Oven
  • Serving dishes
  • Little Utensils: Spatulas, Pastry Blender, Pizza Wheel, Thermometer, Ice Cream Scoop, etc.
  • Cutting Sheets
  • Timer
  • Salad Spinner
  • Glass Mixing Bowls
  • Measuring cups

What I would skip:

  • Electric can opener
  • Lots of different kinds of glasses
  • Ice cream maker
  • Bar set

About Danielle Beranek

Life can get away from you when being young, married, and still fairly fresh out of college. Taking on a pet, student loans, going back to school, and soon a new house is enough to leave ones head spinning. For me, life is crazy, but only on the outside.
