Tuesday Tails: Puppy Cuddles

I apologize if Tuesday Tails haven’t been the most interesting recently. The truth is the dogs aren’t always bundles of energy and doing fun or exciting things. In fact, for the past week all they have really wanted to do is cuddle. Seriously, all the time! With each other, with us, as a whole family. Cuddling has been the name of the game.

Have to love break, right? Anyway, I guess the excitement about Tasha over break was that she is not allergic to carrots! For anyone with a highly allergic dog, you understand what I mean. In fact, we can now change the dogs over to a less expensive dog food that according to Dog Food Advisor is actually a little better (even though it is about $15 cheaper per bag). So, how did we test Tasha with carrots? We made sure she was stable with food first and was not overly itchy. For us, that means she can only be tested on specific days due to her allergies to environmental things as well. And then, we give her a giant carrot. She loved it!

As a bonus, she was less itchy the two days we gave her carrots than she is in a normal day. She might develop a carrot allergy in the future, but for now, carrots are an allowable food.

Life can get away from you when being young, married, and still fairly fresh out of college. Taking on a pet, student loans, going back to school, and soon a new house is enough to leave ones head spinning. For me, life is crazy, but only on the outside.
